Needles Into The Ground

Keenan Johnston Khost and Godflesh are a fitting pairing no matter how you look at it, and Justin Broadrick delivers on his three contributions (as if there was any doubt!). The harshness has been amped up here significantly to the point where it might be off-putting for some, but if you've heard some of JKB's noisier works you should know what to expect. The new Khost track that closes out this EP is a fine addition as well. Favorite track: Inversion.

Niccolo Brown I can't imagine anyone who likes their day spiced up with a smidgin of brutal noise who wouldn't find the prospect of premier Brum racketeers Khost getting "reconstructed and deconstructed" by the legendary Godflesh anything less than thrilling. Who did what to what in the studio that produced "Needles Into The Ground" is left unstated, but it's an eardrum-rupturing monstrosity of an EP that could probably powder granite were it called upon to do so. Go get. Favorite track: A Shadow On The Wound.
